Nothing special. Mediocre food, mediocre tables, mediocre personal. The only nice thing is the ambience.
The Grammercy Terrace is on the top floor of the Grammercy Park Hotel. The hotel itself is quite nice with several bars and a restaurant. We took the elevator to the top floor for an engagement party and found this very big space looking out over the City. Passed Hors D’oeuvres were constantly coming out ot the kitchen and they... More
We stopped over at Newark airport on our way to Oslo, Norway and took a car to Manhattan to have lunch with our friends. The ambience interesting! The food average, plus it was restaurant week in NY and the options where limited and average at best. The wine and champagne offering was very limited too.
I have to say, I love this hotel. I love this space, the terrace is beautiful. The food? Maybe we came on a bad day but we both thought is wasn't just bad, it was awful. There wasn't anything even left on the brunch and it was mid morning on a weekend. I had literally a 60.00 toasted bagel and... More
Try the buffet JUST for the monkey bread. It's a cross between a cinnamon bun and croissant with cream cheese icing... incredible. Worth every penny. This place is an escape in the big city. It's a must!

We were expecting sandwiches and salads and the menu had very different items. Since we felt bad leaving, we settled on raviolis. It was one big ravioli for a very big price. Our meal... More
I have to agree with another reviewer - this place didn't have the zing factor and neither did the menu. I met a friend at 11:45 a.m. on a weekday, expecting to be able to order breakfast food but they gave us the lunch menu and told us breakfast was no longer being served. The menu was really uninteresting. My... More
The Gramercy Hotel is in a beautiful part of NYC, and is a cool, funky boutique hotel. The Gramercy Terrace is on the rooftop and is open daily from 7am-3pm for breakfast and lunch. We went there for a Saturday breakfast. It is a lovely quiet atmosphere and a great way to start your day. A bit disappointing that there... More
This is roof terrace bar, but it is enclosed by a brick wall which ends above head height, and then windows which look only up to the sky. You cant see out at all. The menu was dull, so a very low zing factor. Why dont they raise the floor four feet and open up the view? Then it would... More
