The portions are very very small, the food is expensive and they only take cash, no credit cards. For what they charge, find another restaurant that gives you bang for your bucks.
I was introduced to this place several years ago by a friend, and it never disappoints. Their sushi rolls offer such an interesting and delicious combination of flavors. My only complaint is that some of the tables are rather close together. No one sat next to us for most of the meal, but at the tale end two women were... More
This restaurant was an attempt to revive the spirit of the late, lamented Cal's of W22nd Street, the only restaurant of its kind in the neighborhood at the time and still. Very nice sushi and very helpful staff (we didn't know it was BYO, and they promptly helped me find a liquor store). The quality and price is perfectly matched, just be aware they are cash only and no reservations.

Never asked the kids if they wanted something to drink. Waiter not very helpful at with the menu. Just ready for us eat and leave so he can fill the... More
This is one place to skip. The sushi is dry, served in small portions and the prices are far above what you'll find at a comparable restaurant anywhere else in the neighborhood. Service is surly. It's also never crowded. That's a bad sign.
bring your own buzz though
Secret gem on the upper east side, cash only, no reservations, always a long wait but well worth it and BYOB
