We were starving since we haven't had anything to eat except for some snacks on the plane. We started with Kimchi apple and it was pretty good. We then had charred ramps with pistachios and it was a nice spring veggie dish. Next was the scallop with avocado sauce that was fresh and satisfying. My husband's favorite was the rice... More

Visited this very intriguing restaurant with a customer at his suggestion. Very interesting setting, Asian minimalist in the very vibrant East Village area. The menu is Asian fusion with a heavy emphasis on Korean if I read the cuisine correctly. Everything was well prepared and very tasty. If you love duck, you have arrived in heaven here. Their roast duck... More

I'm recommended by friends to go to this bar. There are all of people when I arrive there at 6:30pm. Pork belly and ducks are fabulous and the service is great.

Went to Ssam Bar on the late side, put our name in and walked over to 3rd Street for a drink and wait to be called. It only took an hour to get a text saying come on over. It was worth the wait! Pork Belly in Steamed Buns were incredible as was the Sausage and Rice Cakes (not anything... More

We went here a few times in the Spring of 2013 and we must say that Ssam Bar certainly lives up to the hype. The restaurant is small but lively and most of the seating is communal (either bar stools or longer tables). Our favorites were the buns (both the pork and BBQ bun were great), fuji apple kimchi, striped... More

If you are a pork enthusiast, then this is the restaurant for you! My cousin and her husband highly recommended that we all head over to Momofuku Ssam Bar when my wife and I were in NYC this past weekend. We visited around 8pm on Saturday, May 4th, 2013 -- and the place was packed. There was a wait and... More

One of the top restaurants in the world for around $50 per person - and we had all we could possibly eat. The food was divine, the service impeccable. OK a little crowded and noisy, but that added to the atmosphere of a fun, casual place to get world-class food. The steamed pork buns are definitely a must if going... More

6 of us ate here and shared the mackerel, market veg, sausage and rice cakes, steamed pork buns, the duck sandwich, wigwam ham and BBQ pork buns. I've got to admit I'd never tried pork belly before as it seemed too fatty but the steamed buns were absolutely incredible, the pork was just lovely! I have been converted!! Really enjoyed... More

I have anxiously been waiting to try one of David Changs restaurants. I was not disappointed once given the chance but can't help feeling that this place is a bit overhyped. Eating here is preferably done family style and why wouldn't you as it gives you the chance to try more dishes than one. The food is very good mixing... More

I really can't believe that my only complaint was the seating. Now I'm a young, healthy, normal weight person, but it was so difficult to enjoy the incredible food. Our group was so jammed into a space where i couldn't move my arms to make a lettuce wrap, and the wooden block chair made my feet fall asleep. Maybe I... More
