I heard a lot of great things about this place and wanted to try it out. We went for a late saturday lunch and we were seated right away. This is a CASH ONLY restaurant. We had the gyro and the chicken souvlaki. They were both great. The baklava is the best I've ever had. I would definitely go back!... More

I was recently able to finally go to Samos, a Zagat rated Greek restaurant a few miles from the heart of Baltimore. I had heard from others that it was not to be missed but the last few stays left me without my Greek fix. However, this round I was able to go and was certainly glad I did! A... More

I'll keep it nice and sweet. It's a hole in the wall. The place is small and tables are very close together. The place gets very packed, it is noisy, it's not the prettiest and the service is hit or miss. But the food and prices are unbeatable. Everything on the menu is pretty awesome. Is it the best Greek... More

I read all of the glowing reviews and went today with high anticipation with three friends for lunch. It was uncrowded at 12:00 and we were seated quickly and got our appetizers and meals soon after. However, after that it became busier, and our server was unavailable. We tried to flag her down to request more water, iced tea, etc.,... More

So awesome!! Only heads ups I would say-its BYOB, no reservations & no credit cards. Cash only. So Sat could be an hr wait. It's worth it tho! EVERYTHING is amazing and must top it off with rice pudding for dessert! Sits in middle of a neighborhood in the middle of Greektown! It's real deal!

My latest trip to Samos was once again nothing less than perfect! I usually go for the same dish but I switched up and tried some seafood and it was fantastic. These guys know how to run a restaurant and you won't be dissapointed with anything on the menu. Just bring your own bottle of wine and get there early... More

Family owned and ran. Walk in and see all food prep, very clean, fanastic Mediterranean food, simple delicious, and great prices.Warning, carry out is limited to when they have smaller crowds. If the phone is ringing busy repeatedly they probably aren't serving carry out so don't waste the gas driving there unless you want to wait for a table. Small... More

Very authentic Greek food and atmosphere! The food is delicious and the place is usually packed with people to talk with. You can't go wrong with anything, but especially not with the avgolemono. Recommended.

This place is not fancy, but the food more than makes up for it. We were there on a Friday for lunch. It was crowded! We were seated, and then began one of the best meals we ever had! My husband had the combination platter and the Greek salad. I had the chicken souvlaki pita and the chick pea and... More

I always go for the chicken souvlaki and the gyro, they are the best in the city. The avgolemono is good too(lemon and chicken soup). Its always busy and crowded but we eat here weekly and the sometimes 10 minute wait for a seat is worth it.
