If you want plain old spaghetti and meatballs, go somewhere else. This is the place where every menu item is a creation. Four of us each had a different item( pork, lamb, game hen) and every one was superb. The waiter was attentive and very informative. I'm not a foodie so I had him explain many of the terms and... We had the fixed price menu (2 of us) and what a great value for $35. 4 courses, all of which I would have happily ordered on their own -- generous well dressed green salad with watercress and arugula, orecchiete with cannelini, tomatoes and guanciale, excellent pork tenderloin beautifully cooked, and chocolate semifreddo. Wine pairings were also excellent -- all... More

This is our absolutely favorite restaurant in Brookline. The food is delicious. The drinks are fabulous. The atmosphere is welcoming and warn (downstairs- I don't like the upstairs as much). I love going there for a nice romantic dinner with my husband and sitting at the bar. There is a very nice bartender girl who is always so great-

Food is fantastic. Different than you usual Italian. Downstairs warm upscale pu/bistro but never a table to call early. Upstairs nice but not as nice as downstairs.

La Morra is always full, mainly with an older suburban set. The food is consistent and very good but this place doesnt have a modern or sophisticated vibe. So it is OK for an everyday dinner but not quote good enough for a special occasion.

We have been hearing about this place for years and finally ventured over on Saturday evening. The place is warm and inviting with tables close to one another and exposed brick walls. We had four of the small plates to start and all but the pickled vegetables were fantastic- veggies were so-so. We ordered the rabbit and the hanger steak... More

La Morra is the kind of Italian restaurant that makes you wish you lived closer to it. Still, even coming from Watertown I have made it a point to eat there four times this past year. Jen and Josh provide and experience that could be said to be sorely lacking in the Boston dining scene. A cozy, warm and intimate,... More

I went with a party of 5 on New Years Eve. With an $85 price fixe menu for a four course meal and with the assurance of the restaurant when I called up in advance that vegetarians could be accommodated, I was very disappointed that they could only serve me side dishes as my main dish which was mostly comprised... While the food here is good, the place is managed like a zoo. Your lucky if you walk in and find a host let alone one without an attitude. If you don't like the seat they've selected for you it's simply to bad. You may get lucky and find the owner Jen walking around but most likely she'll have a... More

Unless you do research on Trip Advisor, or have friends who have been here, you would drive right by this storefront location on busy, inbound Route 9. Stop! This two-level restaurant knows what they are doing on all levels - food, wine, service, atmosphere. Northern Italian cusine - but not "red sauce" Italian - some seasonal, all delicious and well...
