If you like Italian food, you won't want to miss this restaurant in Brookline! The pasta is filling, pretty large portion size and a great value. Wednesdays and Sundays they have a special for $5 pasta- an unbeatable value for any restaurant in the Boston area. Their paninis are massive too. Every time I've been there the food is served...

Yes, the pasta sauces are that good. The other reviewers are accurate . More Italian than a lot of the North End. Wonderful soups and hot entrees too. This is about bold rich favors. Hearty portions great prices. Ambience is plain. It is simply about the food. And that very bland bread? Also authentic. Mangiare bene.
Doesn't look like much from the outside but man oh man do these folks know Italian food. They have a range of wonderful sandwiches plus pasta and other Italian specialties like stuffed peppers, and I've never had anything here that was anything less than spectacular. Just unbelievably good. Wednesdays and Sundays I believe they have cheaper prices for pasta. Wonderful...

We have had dinner here twice and we loved it both times. The pasta is fresh and has excellent flavor. The service staff are very kind and inviting. They don't let you pay until after you have eaten. It's a very friendly and comfortable deli environment.
The food was amazing. The flavors where better than anything I've found downtown and our meal for two cost what we'd pay for an entree there. The service was great. It's tiny and there's no real atmosphere, so its not the best for a date/night out. But definitely will be back.
Great little shop for company-worthy take-out and Italian staples. Their bread is amazing and makes a fantastic panini.
I stopped here for a quick dinner with my teenage son, who'd just spent some time in Rome. We loved the straightforward kitchen staff, the simple but authentic and delicious food, and the barstools in the window from which we could watch Brookline sidewalk life. My vegetable lasagna was "clean," pasta with carrots, tomatoes, broccoli--you could see and taste the...

Space enough for small kids to run around; picnic tables in the center. Kid-free couples will probably prefer the barstools at the window. The bread was fresh but otherwise boring. Enjoyed the spinach gnocchi in cream sauce. A disappointing mozzarela & tomato sandwich--no oil, no pesto or basil.
The decor is simple, evoking Italian eateries. Glad to see a variety...

We come here every week for great food, value and service. $5 pasta on Wed & Fri - must try their Fedora sauce in penne- a staple in our family!
They make great sandwiches plus the cappuccino's wonderful!
Don't go here asking for spaghetti with meatballs- they don't have it because you can't get that anywhere in Italy. I have...
