Excellent food and service, no need to say much more. Plenty of accolades have been given to this restaurant and both my wife and I agree. We went with a group of 8, not one complaint, only compliments.

I first visited Sarong in November 2011 and had a fantastic experience. Sometimes when you go back after a period of time it is not so good. This is not the case with Sarong, we went twice and both times it was a superb experience. The setting is breathtaking considering there are no beachside or paddy field views, the service... More

Sarong is open for dinner only and you need to book in advance as it is the most requested restaurant in Bali. The menu offers a superb selection of asian food, as quality is at its top. It is really good and allows you to mix many kinds of food. Sarong is an open building with terraces and also a... More

I read about Sarong and its chef before coming. Took all 6 of us adults here for a final evening of fine dining. It surpassed my high expectations and joyfully surprised my brother and friends. The ambience is modern, sophisticated Balinese/Asian fusion. The service was as it should always be in fine dining: knowledgable, well spoken, never snobby, and always... More

Sarong was recommended by friends living in Bali, with Mamasan as a second choice. Booked for a Sunday night and was really looking forward to it. Sarong did not disappoint. The setting is fantastic and the food was brilliant and good value. If I go again, I think instead of struggling with which starters not to order I would do... More

What amazing food. The best we had in Bali, but very closely followed by Merah Putih (see separate review). Sarong's food was just amazing and don't miss the little bites served on Beetle leaves, as we could have made a meal just of these. Also the Tandoori Snapper was excellent as were the curries. We didn't have a bad dish... More

As an expat in Bali I have dined at Sarong numerous times with both locals, other expats and tourists. I honestly cant see the hype around this restaurant, the sister restaurant mamasan is ten times better in my opinion. I find Sarong a little bit big for its boots, service is getting a bit pompous, food is same same. I... More
