I am from out of town and read reviews and decided to try Taqueria El Amigo. Excellent Food! All home made including salsa and chips! Great Margaritas! Wonderful family owned restaurant. All food is made fresh everyday! I highly recommend this place!

Very nice lady served us but the food was not great and the restaurant was not very appealing. I wouldn't recommend it.

I read the reviews and the restaurant was located in a rougher part of town... As I opened the car door I had reservations.. Entering the restaurant we were the only ones there... The menu was on 8x10 with a limited variety! We ordered the Chixken Loco..servered with homemade HOT corn tortillas I loved mine and gave it a 5...... More

Nice friendly service. Great chips & salsa. Rice & beans were great. Burrito was great. We will definitely come back.

My husband and I stumbled across this restaurant a couple of months ago, and decided to give it a try....and we are so happy we did! This family-owned restaurant has become one of our favorites, and we literally eat there at least a couple of times each week. We just can't get enough of their authentic dishes....handmade corn tortillas, authentic... More

I usually don't go to authentic Mexican places. This was recommended by our inn. I read the reviews and we decided to try it. I am so glad we did. Food was delicious. I don't eat salsa. I tried theirs and ate a bunch. It was fresh and good. The el pollo loco was great. The refried beans and rice... More

We went to this restaurant based of Trip Advisor Reviews and we were not disappointed. I must say however if we had not read the reviews we might not of went to this restaurant. It is a small restaurant and a little hard to find and located in a older building. My husband and I were glad that we decided... More

This may have been the best Mexican food I have ever had north of the border. We had Carnitas tacos, tostadas and quesadillas. Everything we had was perfect. As a native Texan I eat Mexican food 3 or 4 times and week and this was much better than anything I get at home. Don't expect to get cheese enchiladas with... More

We were not impressed. I had fajitas and they were no better than most Tex-Mex restaurants. My wife had the same opinion about her plate., AND we had regular refried beans and rice (several reviews said they did not serve refritos and rice like other Mexican restaurants)! We will try other places before this one again.
