In a rather rare week of fine dining, I ate last Friday in a Michelin rated restaurant in Paris, on Monday in a Michelin rated restaurant in Chicago, and on Friday, on what should be a Michelin rated restaurant in Madison. What a surprise! The chilled asparagus soup was something new to me, and its freshness and smoothness, the hints... More

My wife and I visited Harvest this past weekend. The food was very good. I had the beef tenderloin, while my wife had the pork tenderloin. Both were delicious, though the pork tenderloin was the better value. The service was also very good. Our complaint about the Harvest lies with the atmosphere. There is a bar in the middle of... Nice local menu, but for the price you are much better off down the street at Le Toile. Still, if you can't get in there try Harvest. It's okay.

Let me begin by saying that the service is excellent, friendly and informative. They did a great job of taking care of us and explaining the sometimes overly complicated menu choices. The food was good, but the extra ingredients added did not add flavor...they just added a hint of the chef's arrogance. Nonetheless, I do recommend Harvest since the quality... More

I went here for resturant week. I love the food here. One really cool aspect of the resturant is that they tell you where EVERYTHING came from, down to the raspberries on your dessert. It really great that they pair up with local farmers. And you can taste the difference in the food. I had the brownie with homemade vanilla... More

My fiancee and I chose this restaurant for our Valentine's Day dinner. It surpassed all expectations!! The meal was outstanding (I recommend the salmon!!) The service was super! Parking was a bit of a pain, but it usually is in Madison. (plan ahead!)

Restaurant Week exposed me to this restaurant, and I was super impressed. The brussels sprouts and cauliflower salad was such a unique flavor profile. Their wine list is also lovely, which I appreciated. The decor is a little lacking, and being in the back room isn't nearly as nice as being in the main room with the windows overlooking the... More

I came here for the first time during Restaurant Week and will definitely be returning! The brussels sprouts and cauliflour salad appetizer is something I am still thinking about a week later. The waitstaff was polite and attentive, and the atmosphere is excellent for both a nice dinner with friends or a special date. I was definitely pleased with the... More

The menu is always creative in ways to use local ingredients and the chef certainly has the right skills to make it work. I do have to say that some of the dishes or ingredients seem unnecessary and just over the top, such as parsnip soup, but overall the food is good. The service, however, has been exceptional every visit!... More

Always inventive menu, changed regularly, includes small plates as well as entrees, and very good selection of wines by the glass and, as is most unusual, splits, good for one dining alone. Go. Ps Great event dinners too.
