I really liked how Cochon plays with food. The Southern inspired cuisine was very fun, playful, and delicious.

Wonderful meal. Got in on a Friday without reservations by agreeing to sit at counter overlooking kitchen. Turned out to be great seats. We had ribs & rabbit with dumplings. Scrumptious.
Ill be dreaming of Cochon for quite awhile. Great staff and really great food. If you want to be adventurous and try a meat that outside you're comfort zone, this is the place to do it. The pepper jelly on the fried livers and toast was my favorite. We also had pork cheek terrine, braised beef shoulder, rabbit and dumplings...

As first timers to the South, we decided to try all the dishes that were native to the area. This included the crawfish casserole (excellent), oven roasted oysters (pretty good), pig cheek terrine (delicious), fried boudin (tasty), fried alligator (good, not great), fried chicken livers (yummy), cochon for dinner (tasty but a tad dry and salty), pineapple upside down cake...

We called Cochon for dinner reservations. They are one if the new style eateries in New Orleans and their popularity has soared since being featured in several Food Network and Discovery channel shows. As the name implies, they focus mostly on pig; every part except the "oink." The earliest opening they had was 8:30 and since we came to eat,...

Heard about this place on food network and wanted to give it a try. Great speciality cocktails, all the food was delicious. The only things I did not care for are things that are out of my comfort zone like pâté.
We had tried to get a reservation at Cochon on other visits to New Orleans with no luck ... On this trip, we did! Located in the warehouse/arts district, Cochon is a low key, high-energy foodie delight serving farm-to-table Cajun Southern fare. We started with the wood-fired oyster roast (wow) then on to the rabbit & dumplings (delicious light dumplings...

First time there, but it was worth the wait from the Pork cheek terrine to the rabbit and dumplings it was great. We tried the wood-fired oyster roast, sautéed shrimp with grit cakes. All 8 of us had a great meal and at the end it was a great meal at a good price. We all recommend this great place!!!
The food was very good---we had soups, oysters and I had the liver appetizer....so few places serve fried chicken livers so that was a special treat for me.
