Description: New Orleans in its soul is a true blending of many cultures. The European influences, namely Spanish, Italian & French, coupled with prominent contributions of Caribbean & African heritage, have produced one of America's greatest indigenous cuisines, Creole. Criollo, the Spanish word for Creole and the name chosen for the new restaurant, represents the amalgam of cultures reflected in our cooking and the unique tastes that comprise Louisiana cuisine. Fashioned with Louisiana & the Gulf South region's abundant bounty of fresh, home grown products from the land & sea, Criollo's ingredient-driven seasonal menu is designed to offer creative dishes inspired by culinary traditions & an appreciation of today's contemporary tastes.

My wife and I had a late lunch at this restaurant yesterday. The atmosphere was bright and clean, the service was attentive and the food was fresh. I had a cup of the seafood gumbo and a shrimp special, both were very nice. My wife had a Cajun burger that she enjoyed. This is a great place to have lunch.

PRO'S: a Creole modernization, nice room, nice lobby bar, good wine list, good service & representation of food online, open kitchen CON'S: order was off, no BD (they fixed it). Fairly priced (compared to Boston market). They are still a little new-ish. TIP'S: lump crab & avacado app, monkfish. I would feel more comfortable over-dressed than under-dressed for dinner. Go... I regret having to write this but; Skip Criollo. The service was only passable and the food was disappointing. The Shrimp, Blue Crab & Avocado appetizer was bland and so cold it must have been sitting in the fridge for quite a while. The rest of our meal was somewhat better but not worth the price considering the dinning options... More

Just had breakfast here but it was very good, lots of variety, quality food, very pleasant service, comfy table/chairs; pretty place. My husband loved their coffee.

Pretty good breakfast overall. The Bloody Mary was watery; I do not recommend. The spa egg white omelet was good, but the yogurt parfait was he best part. Small menu. Buffett looked ok, but not exciting.

We visited Criollo for a romantic dinner after a wild night on Bourbon street. What a great, lively hotel. The restaurant is its own super star! John, our smiling waiter from Alabama, was uber-friendly and well-versed on all of the elegant dishes. Noteable appetizers and beautiful flavors blended together with care. The seafood is among the freshest we have ever... More

Went for Easter Sunday had reservations for 10:45am. The restaurant was very nice, service seemed unattentive and had to ask for cream for coffee, spoon to stir, water refill. Also, server didn't mention they would closing or not refilling the traditional brunch due to Easter Brunch being served at noon to 3:30pm and should have recommended we order from menu.... More

After a conference a group of us including my client went to dinner here. The decor is clean and modern and appropriate for a business dinner especially in the French Quarter area. We were looking for something upscale with a local flair but didn't want a place that required dinner jackets. The wait staff varied from attentive and professional, to... More

Yes, yes, I know--you're in a town known for great restaurants, you can't eat--or so you think--in the hotel's own... Think again! Maybe you're a little tired, maybe it's raining (it DOES rain here), maybe you had one too many in the hotel's justly famous carousel bar, twirling through the hazy damp afternoon into evening? There was live jazz...live jazz... More

With all the dining options available in the Quarter, our breakfast here was so good, we came back and did it again. The stuffed French toast and the spa omelet were the big hits. Excellent service and good coffee rounded off a great start to the day.
