Went for a light dinner, split the trio between two people. You know how some times when you are not very hungry and you split something small, the waitstaff gives you the hairy eyeball? That absolutely did not happen. These folks even split the side salad across two plates, and we didn't even ask. That's great service.

This was the first restaurant at which we ate. The Trio was a great way to sample multiple Creole dishes--all fabulous. The servings were large and perfect for sharing. The price was very reasonable. It's a BYOB (1st bottle of wine and 1st six pack have no charge) with a cozy feel. The service was good. I recommend getting a... More

We love this place. We've visited for the last 3 years as we stay in the Quarter and it is usually right around the corner from our place. Weekend brunches get a bit crowded and there is usually a wait, bu we have found it worth it. This past time, my husband had the big breakfast which he loved and... More

We had lunch there one day and dinner on another night. We loved the trio (gumbo, red beans & rice and a stuffed pepper). For dinner I had the redfish and it was great. My husband had the bar-b-qued shrimp and loved them, although they were really messy to eat. The fig and goat cheese torte was also delicious. My... More

We just happened upon EAT and what a find! We had a variety of eggs and omelets but the real treat was the toast! Yummy multi-grain bread that was delicious. We will be back!

Casual. But food is excellent with hearty portions. Service friendly. Must BYOB. Highly recommend. One of our favorite Sunday Brunch spots.

After a couple of uninspired breakfasts elsewhere in NOLA, we were thrilled when we stumbled on this small cafe around the block from our guest house. Sadly, they only serve breakfast/brunch on weekends, but what a breakfast! We went there two days running and loved every bite. They take the classic elements of southern and New Orleans cuisine -- biscuits,... More

The bartender at our hotel recommended this restaurant. He warned us that we would have to bring our own wine/beverages but said the food was excellent. He was right. There were six of us in our party. Each of us ordered something different and then passed each entree around. All 6 were excellent. The chef came out to visit us... More

After reading other reviews of Eat, we were excited to get in to Eat without a long wait. Yes, it's quaint and interesting with generous portions of food. Yes, they took good care of customers who brought their own libations. I'm a huge fan of chicken and dumplings, so of course I ordered this since it was one of their... More
