This place has hands down the best steak (Cajun crust). The staff is very attentive and the food is awesome.

Great service and food. Known for their steak. however the cheapest one is about $65. That before sides, salads, drinks, etc. They have a great house Cabernet which runs about $85 a bottle. Great choice.
The Met continues to create an exceptional dining experience. The food, the wine and the service are all outstanding and it is more than just steak. Our party of four chose menu items that were totally different; steak, chicken, prime rib and rack of lamb. Every dish was perfectly prepared. The service was both efficient and unobtrusive. I was blown away by this place. Attentive and approachable staff, beautiful old fashioned and dark interior perfect for an intimate dinner with your partner or friends. This place competes with the best of the steakhouses in Chicago and we're pretty damn serious about our steaks here in Chicago, so hopefully that gives you an idea of the quality and...

I am not a huge fan of steaks, but I went all in at the Met. I ordered the 12oz Prime Rib and wasn't disappointing. The steak was one of the best I have ever had! The family also had excellent steak dinners. The service was very good as was the overall atmosphere of the establishment. Expect to pay the...

Wonderful food and great surroundings. Entertaining out of town guests makes you #1 in their books, thanks to the excellet service.
I remember it to this day.... and its been a few days. Be prepared to blow the dust off your wallet for this one, but it is worth it. I've never been to a steak house where the cuts were on display in a cold case up by the front door. It makes for a lasting impression.
So the Porterhouse Steak is about as big as your head...it's moist, delicious and comes with a hefty portion of garlic mashed potatoes...yum! Also have tried the shrimp cocktail and leg of lamb, also very good. I had a friend who worked there once upon a time and he swears by the freshest, best ingredients.
Nice food, large portions, and well prepared. the veggies and food is local so quality is very high.
If you live in Alaska for decades and travel a fair bit, there's a high probability you'll have ended up at the Met (if you're not vegan or vegetarian) for a special dinner at some time or other when you pass through Seattle.
That would be time well spent.
After about a dozen visits to the Met, this is my...
