Elegant atmosphere. Amazing food and just as worthy service! I am not normally a steak eater but this steak was well worth it. It is certainly a pricey place but we knew that going in. I feel like you get your money's worth all things considered. And for whatever reason dessert was on the house :)

One of the most emblematic places in seattle is El Gaucho steak house. The place takes you back in time. Coat required I believe. The place is great for a nice romantic dinner. The steak we ordered had to be taken back because it was under cooked. When they brought it back it was dry and I was not that... More

Steakhouse environment from the past. Enter and walk down grand staircase, dimly lit environment. There is a grand piano at the end of the bar that has a table top with seating around the piano. Service was excellent and food was delicious.

It was restaurant week so they were a bit stressed, but they treated us so nicely. Everyone was friendly and helpful. The food was delicious.

Classic steak house. Come hungry. Ask the waiter what comes with the meal. Side dishes might be unnecessary as the main dish will have many extras. Not well known the Seattle site has a limited number of quaint hotel rooms and a small theater for exclusive movie showings.

My wife and I had Sunday dinner ay El Gaucho for the first time. We could not have asked for a more wonderful experience. Everything was top notch outstanding. The food, the service, the atmosphere ... and they took us back to our hotel in the restaurant's van. Next time ... and there will be a next time ... we... More

I love El Gaucho. Walking in the door (after your eyes adjust to the dim light) you feel like you've stepped back in time to some 1940's nightclub. Only downside is, you pay a premium for premium quality, which is not in my budget very often. However, their Happy Hour certainly is. Their burger is amazing and includes fries for... More

I recently dined at El Gaucho for the 2nd time. The first time was a client dinner a couple years ago, and we splurged and everything was fantastic. The 2nd time was recently and I went during Seattle Restaurant Week since it was a great value (3 courses for only $28). Overall, a great experience, but a couple of mishaps... More
