Good choise to visit this restaurant! I was working in the city for a few days and I found this place very friendly, good service and really taste food. I ordered "Dourada" and Porto wine, and they were delicious!

I enjoyed my family meal at Casa Portugal. The waitstaff were very nice, and the atmosphere completely unpretentious. The menu selection seemed highly authentic to me, centered on fish, meat, and starch. It certainly reminded me very strongly of my meals in Spain and Portugal last year. I ordered the garlic shrimp and enjoyed them a lot, also liked the... More

I love this place. I have been there twice in the past year. Try the grilled squid (lots of garlic!) with vegetables and potatoes - just amazing. They also have meat dishes, whole grilled fish, bacala, everything you would expect. It is a small, family-run place with unbelievably cheap and delicious house wine and all authentic food. Also so reasonable... More

I felt I could be eating in Lisbon, at a regular restaurant. The cod fish (bacalhau assado) was very good, the deserts were ok, but above all, I liked the unpretentious authenticity. The wine list also surprised me: instead of the poor selection of Portuguese wines we can find in regular liquor stores, I found a good choice of Portuguese... More

Casa Portugal has been around for decades and always maintains the same standard of very pleasing but not fantastic meals. The pork with clams and the caldeirada (seafood stew) are always good, especially when washed down with Portuguese green wine. The restaurant is small but they take reservations; decor and atmosphere appealing. Definitely worth a visit if you're in the... More

I was expecting more from this establishment based on other reviews I've read. Having made a reservation, we arrived at the restaurant only to be told dismissively with a wave of the hand to sit anywhere. Maybe it was an off night. The food was pretty good but not spectacular and the service was a bit laconic and somewhat unhelpful.... More

In my opinion O Cantinho renders this restaurant obsolete.
