I had great service and wonderful food. My only regret was being too full to try dessert. I saw a couple of 4 layer cakes as I walked in that look amazing. I had the sweet potato and avocado sandwich which had black beans, crispy thin onions and chipotle cream cheese. Sounds strange but was so flavorful and good. They... More

Got the pulled pork sandwich and it was good, but I've had better. Good cole slaw and campfire baked beans. Decent sized portions. Our server James was very friendly and personable.

A sunny day and a huge iced tea on the well shaded, huge patio at Cowtippers hit the spot! This is in a gay part of town, so if you are not with the times and are homophobic, you won't be comfortable. Who cares about the preferences of my fellow dinners? I have driven by this place many times, but... More

Rainey days and Saturday's always bring me down. So a late lunch at Cowtippers did the trick! Great place to sit and chill with a friend, and the portions were enormous.

I've been here a few times and have never been disappointed in the quality of the steak, portion size, service or price. Atmosphere is totally low key and the furniture is sometimes tattered. But the quality of meal and $6 martini (if that's your choice) makes this a good bang for your buck.

Cowtippers makes you feel as though you are just sitting amongst family, friends, and neighbors at BBQ in a farm. Everyone was happy and laughing. I loved it!! I'm not sure what is in their BBQ sauce that makes their food so finger lickin' good and everybody so darn happy, but it works.

After visiting the botanical gardens I stopped by this place for a casual dinner. It's just a roadside joint but was just the thing on a nice spring night. The outdoor seating is really just a parking lot and literally adjacent to busy Piedmont Ave (why not convert the back side of the large parking lot to seating and use... More

My family has a new tradition- once a month we let the kids spin the globe and where ever the finger lands we go to a restaurant based on that country. This usually works great. It was Morracco last night. After a horrible start to a Moraccan dinner the family was looking for an available table for four at 7:30... More

Cowtippers is a landmark in Midtown, Atlanta. A big part of the GLBT community located in Piedmont Avenue. This place has a great outside patio, strong drinks and good steaks and other food. Great for a group of friends, or even a date.. Great desserts also.
