My wife and I ate there on our anniversary (June 15, 2013). We had seen the photos online and the great reviews and decided that this place would be great for our anniversay. Well... After trying to place my reservation and being hung up on, I should have surmised this was not going to be pretty. We called back and... More

Monacacy Crossing is located in the country side outside of Frederick, just past the battlefield national park. We arrived on a Sunday evening about 7:30 pm with reservations, but they weren't really needed as we were promptly seated. They offer a diverse menu with some seafood selections as well as several that will satisfy the carnivore. I ordered their special... More

We finally stopped into this fine restaurant after driving by it for many years, it doesn't look like much of a restaurant as you drive by but the food surely makes up for what it lacks in appearance. I selected the Pork Tenderloin and my wife had the Salmon, both were great selections. We will be back.

I had not been to Monococy Crossing in years. Boy, am I sorry to say that! Food was great. My Wife had the pork tenderloin with a Sage / Apple Cider sauce that was out of this world. and, the scalloped potatos can make a meal by themselves. Best scalloped potatoes ever! I had the crab cakes which were good... More

There is something for all appetites on their menu and the prices are a plus. A large sandwich variety and great soups ... especially their soups of the day!! Presentation of the meals makes the food taste even better, the key is that the wait staff is outstanding! Attentive, friendly, and anxious to please. Plan to visit the Monocacy Crossing... More

Old Route 355/Urbana Pike winds south from Frederick, crossing over the Monocacy River and curving past the Civil War battlefield nearby. The landscape remains largely rural, and it's easy along this twisting roadway to miss this unassuming restaurant, which appears at roadside unexpectedly, with little else around it. In this way I have blown by in my car a number... More

This was our first time to Monocacy Crossing. We were a party of 8. Our server was friendly and attentive and knowledgeable. We started with duck nachos for the entire table - I didn't try them, as I don't care for duck, but the rest of the table seemed to enjoy them (except one person who took one bite and... More

Our group of 20 had a terrific time. When we arrived at 6PM on a Wednesday evening we were promptly seated in a charming and quiet room and immediately offered drinks. My draft porter was full flavored and quite unusual. This turned out to be the pattern repeated throughout the evening with all of our food orders; delicious with a... More

The food is above average--some interesting choices like the vegetable napoleon. Good fish selections, The servers are always accommodating. I lunch here for birthdays with friends and we really have fun!
