George was our waiter. He was so much fun and took care of us very well. The food was delicious. I had the redfish and it was perfect. The veggies were delicious and the desserts even better. The atmosphere was lovely. We were there fairly early (6:00) and had the place to ourselves. To sit in this room and enjoy... More

My wife and I and a friend each had the 5-course prix-fixe and we all thought it was excellent. Two of us had the filet, one the redfish, soup, salad, appetizer, dessert, everything was just great. The waitress was gracious, service very good too.

My husband and I, along with friends, recently dined at 1818 Monmouth. We had been warned in reviews that the experience for some was not so great, but we certainly didn't expect the reviews to be so accurate! We ordered "small plates"-quail, carrots, collards, and chow chow. The quail was a very small mound of meat about 4 small slices, 3... More

We dine here frequently when we’re in Natchez. Both the food and the service are excellent. What’s more, eating here presents the opportunity to dine in the formal parlors of the original plantation house.

We stayed at the plantation and also had dinner at the 1818. Excellent service and the food was very good. Elegant setting.

Had one diner here while staying at Monmouth. As its a small venue with small numbers dining, the food is prepared with much care and attention to detail. We had a great meal with good service but its the beautiful old vintage room that sets off the experience. If you are staying at Monmouth, you must have at least one... More

We are at Monmouth restaurant about a week ago on Sunday night. We were staying at the inn. It was about 1 hour and 45 minutes between the time we ordered and the time our entrees were served. We surmised they were short staffed and our waiter apologized periodically. The food was mediocre at best. I ordered an appetizer of... More

Our most pleasant dining experience of the trip! We spent a most enjoyable 3 1/2 hours at Monmouth Plantation. The Taste of Natchez is my recommendation, it is a five course meal that is superb! Yet we weren't stuffed after this leisure meal. Our waitress Diane was so pleasant and helped make this a wonderful epicurean experience!
