We returned here and as always were not disappointed with the food drinks and service - all were fantastic. The Reuben with homemade corned beef was great as were the ahi tacos. Their Mai tai is unique and strong - and they have a great tropical whiskey drink that is perfect. It's noisy inside but sitting outside is the way... More

We have always enjoyed the happy hour at Monkeypod. But last week when we were there it was a little disappointing. They have taken off a few things from the menu (calamari was missing and not sure what else but menu felt limited and anything good was not included in the happy hour) and the pizza just was not as... We ordered the lobster pizza and it was the best pizza we ever had! We sat at the bar overlooking the pizza production and were aptly entertained while they made our dinner. The restaurant was very packed and lively - kind of electric. The service was excellent. We returned for a second visit a few days later to sit on... More

Two families vacating together we found MonkeyPod had it all as we were able to sit outside at a round table for 8. Lobster pizza, truffle oil fries, fish sandwich, arugula pear walnut salad and more were all great. Their fresh mango lychee sorbet was the best dessert. We ate first at the one near Aulani resort on Oahu and... More

My meal was perfect, so I'm glad I tried it but my server seemed dismayed at having to serve me, perhaps because it was a table for one instead of a larger party?? A customer is a customer and it wasn't like I was slow or lingering to take up the table, in fact, I was mostly waiting to get... More

Okay, when you are in food bliss over a burger, you know you're in the right place. Monkeypod is at the edge of Wailea and I highly recommend reservations. It is incredibly busy! I am familiar with the chef/owner Peter Merriman but I think he has outdone himself with this place. The menu is not huge but is very inviting... More

We have found a new gen in the Wailea area of Maui! The menu has great variety, everythng we tried was awesome. Get a reservation as there is always a wait for diner. If you are staying in the Wailea Makena area the hotels will drive you to the restaurant. Try a Pod Thai drink. Very unique! They serve parmesan,... More

Poke Tacos: Refreshing and light. Love it. Bourgeois (Lobster) Pizza -nice thin crust and delicious, the parmesan and truffle oil go quite well together. Nightly seafood special -highly recommended. Fish was cooked to perfection (and dare I say, was better than Mama's Fish House.) and I loved the sides -black and white rice in a beurre blanc sauce, toasted garlic... More

Food and service were fantastic. Recommendation: Pies are great but very rich and large so consider sharing a dessert.

Rarely do you find a laid back spot that offers truly gourmet food, but monkeypod is one of them. Lots of beers on tap, but we recommend the cocktails. Unique and refreshing. We consider this a must visit in Maui. Swing on over to monkeypod for a great evening.
