Came over to Lake Metheson to do a walk but rain disrupted our plans. Decided to have lunch instead and this cafe was conveniently located at the entrance of the walk. Came to this cafe for lunch just before we (wife and I) walked around Lake Matheson. It was a nice experience and one of the best cafe lunches we have ever had. Service - Service was fantastic. On a lovely cool, sunny day we sat outside taking in the wonderful snow capped mountain view and had a lovely lunch after spending the morning walking on Fox Glacier. This cafe is very modern and sits beautifully in its wonderful setting.

Welcoming and friendly staff with some marvellous cake selections. Other food was available, the ambience and cleanliness was excellent.

This place has a fantastic view, lovely cakes and the best hot chocolate that I've ever tasted. A really good place for breakfast if you're in the area.

The cafe is the best place to watch sunrise. Must get the omelette!! The best I ever had. Coffee was average.

We came here toward the end of the day and just wanted a coffee and a snack. The selection on offer was good and the restaurant menu read exceptionally well. There is plenty of seating both inside and out, with the outside seats offering good views. The staff are also really helpful.
