New Englanders - Yankees - are frugal folks, and Red's is an example of "bang-for-the-buck" dining. We've enjoyed breakfast and lunch at this little red shop, and the food is very good and quite reasonably priced. And if you know anybody who lives in Salem, you WILL run in to them at Red's - whether it's a construction work or... More

The food here is just amazing! Anything I have ever ordered is incredible! I love this place and would highly recommend if you are staying in Salem. The portions are very large....so you can share if you like.

Had a diner atmosphere and the portions were huge - A grown man could not eat all the pancakes - there were 8 people in our party and all we had at the end of beakfast were moans and complaints of how full we were - The food was GREAT and our waitress was wonderful. Wish we had one of... More

Great little restaurant with loads of menu options--seafood, pub food, pasta, sandwiches, etc...They even have counter seating which is hard to find today. The portion sizes are huge but the prices are very reasonable. Our two kids were able to split a regular sized meal and couldn't finish all of it. Wait staff is friendly and knowledgeable about the City... More

When our previous restaurant of choice turned out to be closed, our family decided to visit Red's instead. It got rave reviews on Trip Advisor, so I figured we were safe. We arrived for a late lunch, around 1:30 pm. Everyone highly recommends breakfast, so my daughter got the blueberry pancakes, they had very little flavor. My wife got a... More

Went here because of the reviews and the other lobster house was closed...so got the lobster. Roll and it was very overpriced for the 'extra' large portion my husband and I thought we'd share. Disappointing...esp including the $2.25 coke which was a child's portion.

We were told about Red's by a fellow traveler, and after asking a Police Officer for directions we found Red's after being told that ''it's where the locals go'', ah the times we've heard that one! However, in this case it is true, the cafe doesn't look much from the outside, but on entering it's like the tardis with lots... More
