We made reservations, probably not necessary during slow season. We had a nice window table overlooking the river walk. The service was excellent and the classical guitarist playing added to a very nice evening. We had the three course special with wine pairing. We enjoyed our evening very much.

We dined at las Canarias during Fiesta. You can dine outside on the Riverwalk but if you prefer a quiet, romantic dinner, ask for a table inside overlooking the Walk. We had a table next to a balcony so we could step out for a breath of fresh air. Inside is beautifully appointed and they had a guitarist playing lovely... More

The location of this restaurant is excellent as is the service. I had the Heirloom Tomatoes for starter which was a salad with rocket, avocado salsa and a medley of different kinds of tomatoes. Simple but unusual and it worked really well. The halibut however was somewhat disappointing as it lacked flavour. The wines were good but not cheap. Looking... More

My husband and I chose Las Canarias for our anniversary dinner during our first visit to San Antonio. Selected based on Trip Advisor reviews. A little hard to find at the back of the Omni La Mansion hotel, but that is because it is right on the River Walk. As requested in our reservation we were given a table with... More

I was at a convention and I was taken here with a group of 10 people. The restaurant is dressy casual (you can wear jeans). The service was top notch and they were attentive without being obtrusive. The food was creative and tasty. I wasn't impressed with their version of the ceasar salad, the dressing was a bit watery in... More

We had a beautiful table for four for two couples right on the Riverwalk, surrounded by lush gardens and trees. The service was impeccable the and food top-rate. We had a vegetarian who really enjoyed the gnocchi dish. Very imaginative plates with healthy portion sizes--lovingly prepared. An outstanding experience and an excellent value for food of this quality.

Not TexMex fare. Prices were reasonable and service was top notch. Mostly fish and beef. Perfect for a foreigner wanting to enjoy Texas steak.

Nice location on River Walk close to the Alamo. Wait service very polite and helpful though there was quite a wait even though I went at 2:30 PM on a Saturday after main lunch crunch. Very refined menu with organic food. Veggies have choice here. They agreed to make me a warm spinach salad which is only on the dinner... More
