Hands-down the best place to eat in Sitka, and one of the better restaurants I've eaten at anywhere! It's a cozy space, with very attentive and knowledgeable staff. Colette sources all her seafood from local fishermen, and produce from organic growers. If you only eat at one place in Sitka - Ludvig's is the place!
Make a reservation! This is a very small restaurant and is always busy. Its fairly expensive but the food and experience are both worth it. You will not be disappointed with the unique and delicious menu choices. Give it a try and remember to make a reservations at least a few days in advance to be safe.

This tiny gem is a must. You have to make reservations as it fills quickly. I made reservations before arriving in Alaska. The Paella was delicious but big. Two of us split the meal and we were stuffed. The room is small but food is delicious!
Great Food, but tight on space. The appetizers are awesome. Wine selection is good. The chowder is very good. Very Mediterranean.
One of the best in Sitka, but when I went for a return visit, the sign said they are closed until February

This place is WONDERFUL! We got a late reservation to sit at the bar and loved every moment of it. From the food, to the music, to the atmosphere, to the portion sizes, to the presentation of food, to the service. Wish I could dine here for every meal for my entire stay in Sitka. Been in Sitka 4 months & had opportunity to try EVERY place to eat. Ludvig's was best by far. Food was excellent and coupled with quaintness made entire experience delightful. Plan ahead & call for reservations AND expect to pay a bit more than what your expecting in this small town however be assured it it worth it. Come hungry......
