Passing through and couldn't resist a side trip to one of my favorite places. They never disappoint me. Love the food, the people and the place!

The Red Parrot is a must when we visit Newport. We had the privilege of meeting the owner, he was really down to earth and passionate about his business. The food is awesome, the service is always professional and the frozen drinks are amazing. We love it and will continue to return every chance we get.

The Red Parrot was another restaurant that our B&B owner recommended. We enjoyed this place so much we went there twice. They are located in the heart of downtown Newport right on Thames street. This place can get busy fast so get there early. I don't know if they take reservations. The first night we went out for dinner and we... More

The service is incredible, I don't think we were in our seats 30 seconds before a server came by started taking our drink orders. The choices on the menu are incredible. They always have drink and food specials which are really different and exciting as well.... More

The girls and I love to meet at the Parrot when we're all in town together. We know we can walk in and be greeted with big smiles and a friendly bartender. The only trouble is- what NOT to order. We love so many old standards, Cajun scallops, jerk chicken quesadillas, cocoribean chicken....too many choices, and then it seems every... More

I ordered the Popeye Chicken sandwich and it was almost inedible. The piece of chicken first of all was half the size of the bun and they used way too much gorgonzola cheese with the spinach topping. It was pretty bad. The sweet potato fries that came with the sandwich were also a disappointment as they were like soggy, squishy... More
