We went to Casa Nostra following the advice of some fellow Italians met on the ferry to Holbox and my girlfriend and I discovered a little piece of (culinary) paradise. We were received by Fabio the chef, guided in our food and wine choice, and we had a great lunch (best fish lasagna ever and a tasty tuna steak) looking... More

The best restaurant in Holbox, maybe in Caribbean Meixco. The Casa Nostra, Nostra Casa restaurant on the beach in Holbox always makes me happy and thankful to be there. I told the chef the other day it was like Capri in Mexico but better. Perfect breakfasts too!

We were excited to try this place but made the mistake of ordering the special Lasagna - rabbit.... My wife had the other Lasagna. They both came out very flat and limp... mine was had not been reheated enough... and was cold in the center. Not good - actually kind of gross. I'm sure there made to order dishes are... More

Do you know Seinfeld and the episode “Soup Nazi”? Then you know how we felt visiting the restaurant (for the guests of the La Palapa hotel this restaurant serves breakfast). E.g. we were not allowed to take whatever chair at a table (“take this chair!”), we were not allowed to move a table by a foot to be in the... More

We had supper here, mid-week, once. We might have visited on an 'off' night..Nice beachfront setting, but we found the atmosphere a bit strange - might've been the large drunken group next to us, laughing raucously and throwing food into each other's mouths, might've been the (slightly overbearing) bald italian chef scowling/prowling around. Plus, what's with the 'No Mosquitos' signs... More

We really loved it! it is one of the best restaurants in Holbox and food is very very nice. We often go to italian restuarants at home but we do not get this nice food always. Price is very good and I see some people complaining here about the price but we found it very good value. In two times... More

We tried to eat there several times, but the pizza a doughy, the food you are served is not what is listed. We had canned sardines, spinach for arugula and a few other disappointments served. The drinks are not very well mixed- they dont bother to mix the sugar and the lime for the mojitos at 80 MEX etc. Its... More

Wow, our visit to Holbox was all about immersing ourselves in the white sandy beaches, bright sun and turquoise waters of this remote Caribbean Island, and although that was all well and good, what really knocked our socks off was Cosa Nostra Restaurant at The Palapa Hotel. We are pizza and pasta lovers and pretty fussy about quality and freshness... More

Nice setting, cosey little set up on the beach in among palm trees, chilled tunes & friendly welcome and service. Very quiet for lunch (unlucky cold patch in March) which is maybe why food not quite there. Nice little bruschetta to start, pizza prety good, "interesting" octopus salad, mozzarella & tomato salad mediocre but good enough effort this far from... More

The atmosphere is lovely, the service outstanding, and the food delicious. It is an upscale restaurant with reasonable prices. The ceviche alone is worth a visit--the most attractive presentation ever!
