We had a great time at Cantina Follie. Joost is a fantastic host who is passionate about wine and food. We enjoyed ourselves so much we went back a second night. The Friendship Platter is the perfect compliment to the extensive selection of wines Cantina has. Don't miss going here, even if for a glass of wine before dinner. More

What a cool spot! The owners were super hospitable and were kind enough to speak to us with great English. They had an extensive selection of wine and the owners were more than happy to help you select. The prices were extremely reasonable. No, if you want a traditional 'restaurant' experience with a large cooked meal - this is not... More

The location is nice if you look for some food to grab at lunch time with no pretentions. Inside the atmosphere is like an old cave while the terrace is more likely to be used in summer time (we were hit by a heavy rain during our lunch and it was not so dry outside). Wine choice is good but... More

The hosts Joost and Debra always give us a warm welcome even on a cold day. There is such a good choice of wines by the glass, which is constantly changing. Our knowledge of Italian wine is growing each time we visit. If you are having a bottle of Prosecco, ask Joost to open the bottle with a sabre! pure... More

Atmospheric little wine bar and enoteca with a great selection, interior tables in a cave and a delightful exterior terrace. The sharing platters make a great antipasto before a pizza at one of the lakeside places. More

This was indeed a different place to visit. It is right in the middle of Italy's culture. We had wine, ham and cheese. The people were very friendly, and we even bought some excellent wine to bring home. We went during Winter, so we were the only ones there, which made the place even better just for us! Just one... I attended a wine tasting at this quirky place and developed a sense of what Italian wine is about thanks to the encyclopaedic knowledge of Joost. A hidden gem in a wonderful location with welcoming hosts and wine to be savoured. More

A wine bar rather than a restaurant, this gem of a place lies just off the main road and offers a vast array of high quality wines, superb hosts and for the peckish wonderful plates of meats and cheeses. Do not visit Tremezzo without making the effort to find Cantina Follie - it will be well worth it!! More
