You probably pay this for the action that you get when the chef is cooking in front of you... a lot of clinging and clanging :) HAHA...nothign much.... you can probbaly do this yourself with a 2 yr old :0 and the food is little..... yes the taste is great....but then from where you are situated, if you walk one... We have dined at Yokohama three or four times in past few years and have always found service to be of a high standard, food excellent and choice wonderful. We are want to order a few dishes then see how we feel and order more. You are almost encouraged to do this. We have not tried the Teppanyaki as prefer... More

After two visits to Yokohama Teppanyaki I am sad to say that I have not been impressed with the quality of food at all. My first visit was for some sushi/sashimi. Nice presentation and very appealing, however the flavour and freshness was evidently missing. If your after sushi I would recommend going around the corner to Shiranui or Circuz. The... More

Had an early Father Day's dinner at this restaurant. Parked at the nearby The Glen Shopping Centre and walked a few short blocks to Kingsway. Lovely food, consistent standards (we have eaten here before), prompt and friendly service. We didn't do the teppanyaki but just ordered from the menu. The restaurant also accepted a company discount card which was a... More

I thought it is equal to any Teppanyaki restaurant I have ever been too! The food was beautiful and the skill and showmanship of the chef really made it a memorable evening!

Yokohama Teppinyaki is not just 'all about the show' That's not to say that you don't get a fantastic display of twirling bottles and knifes clanging you still do. But the thing that really sets them apart is the food. Everything is cooked and seasoned to perfection. If you are going on a Friday or Saturday night book in advance... More

Teppanyaki is quite expensive for the amount of food you get, but you're paying for the show. It's great fun to sit by the teppanyaki stove and watch the chef cook up your meal and have some of it thrown at you. This restaurant offers teppanyaki as well as an a la carte menu. Its got a fun, friendly atmosphere... More

Have eaten at many Japanese restaurants over the years. Yokohama has always served beautifully fresh Sushi and Nigiri. Very friendly and helpful staff. Only downside for me was that it was a little noisy at my last visit. Can live with that.

Food is very good and consistantly so. The staff are friendly and always accomodating. Atmosphere is good and feels authentic. A little pricey.
