Popular with tourist and locals alike. Nice setting and good food. My only moan is that some of the restuarants need to offer a choice of potatoes as opposed to just chips.
We read some reviews of this restaurant but decided to go and see for ourselves, I think this restaurant maybe a bit too authentically Greek. No staff in the restaurant when we arrived so no welcome, ordered food and drinks, starter arrived tzatziki, you could tell it was freshly made and it was nice, we had just started to eat... More
Seemed busy with quite a few locals eating so thought we would give it a try the two dishes my Husband picked out were not available so not a good start service was pretty slow and got slower as the restaurant got busier and thought the food was only average
Chose Zorbas on our first evening in Lixouri as the place looked busy with diners and the outdoor eating under the vines was appealing to us. Unfortunately three menu choices we made which were written down and taken away by the waitress turned out to be unavailable. Once is ok, twice unfortunate, three times annoying! Service was a bit hit... More
We were recommended this restaurant by the hotel. We were told that it’s the only traditional Greek restaurant on the island of Kefalonia and that the food was very good. It was not and the service was very slow.
Very reasonably priced, 2 courses each, 2 bottles of Mythos and a large bottle of water 27 Euro, the village sausage and stuffed cabbage leaves very delightful.
We visited Zorbas couple of times during our holiday. Definitely the best kalamari and mousaka in lixouri. Lovely atmosphere with greek music. Affordable price and fantastic wine. We would come back again.
We visited this restaurant this evening for a mid evening meal. We have previously visited this restaurant in 2010 and it was reasonable although very expensive. We ordered 1 spaghetti bolognese, 3 pork souvlaki. After our order was taken we had to wait nearly an hour and a half for our meals to arrive. The spaghetti bolognese was dry with... More
The restaurant has a nice atmosphere with wineranks as a "ceiling" and nice dimmed lighting. The food was very good, but the service left quite a bit desired. The food came quick, but when we later tried to order some more drinks we struggled to get a waiter, and at one point they forgot that we ordered drinks three (!)... More
We visited Zorbas after reading the reviews however we found it to be too busy (had to wait for ages to get served, get the bill etc) - other diners were getting agitated due to the wait for service. Food was only ok and certainly not the best in Lixouri.
