This evergreen dessert known in Thailand as lod chong singapore (named after a cinema in Bangkok's Chinatown) always makes Thais wonder if it exists in the city-state. It does but nothing beats a spoonful of Bismillah's concoction, its palm sugar perfectly sweet and smokey. Its coconut milk is too watered down but we find it healthy and refreshing. With glutinous... More

I believe there are about three Bismillah cendols in Taiping. There the ones close to Georgie School, the ones close to KE school and another one up the road. There used to one, just outside the Bismillah restaurant, but as times move on, they move to new spots. I am not sure who is the real bismillah cendol, although I... More

Being a Cendol lover, I had to taste the famous cendol and it was truly delicious; the best I've tasted.

Service was fast even with a full house and the cendol had a different 'twang' to the taste that we normally find in KL or PJ. Would have eaten more if I could but the group was leaving....

Compared to Klang and Penang, i thought this was only ok. Not sweet enough but this is a slight difference to the taste which was quite interesting Opens at 10am and closes quite early in the evening so plan your time well

If you are in Taiping, you just got to try the chendol there. There is actually many different stalls now selling the same chendol..all of them taste pretty much the same as they all started out from the same family. If you can't get a parking lot, you can even park at the roadside beside their stall and order from... More

No matter if you eat with pulut of red bean, is awesome. Everytime I land myself in Taiping, this cendol is a must for me.

this is where you can get the best cendol ( kind of traditional dessert in Malaysia ). the coconut milk and syrup is perfectly blended, you may also add kacang or pulut...sweet but not making you thirsty. Reviving your throat together with laksa from a stall in front of it, more satisfying than having a fancy food galore in hotel... More
