Don't stop at the Bakery on the way in if you like fabulous baked goods. Unfortunately I love carrot cake and I had to try some.....delicious.The ambiance on the deck was lovely. I anticipated with a full house and eight in our party there would be delays in service or food delivery...WRONG great service, outstanding food. Little things raised the bar... More

Each cup of coffee is brewed separately - and it is wonderful. Stop at the bakery counter when you enter. Linger. The empire cookies are to die for. The seating looks out over the local river, lots of inside and outside space and they will even serve you on the one picnic table down by the river's edge. The young... More

I have to be honest...I love Elora and I want all the restaurants to get 5 stars...but Mill Street Bakery & Bistro needs a few improvements, mainly in the service area. The food itself was pretty good and the atmosphere is lovely, as it has a patio overlooking the river (Nice!). First and foremost, they couldn't provide us with menus... More

My wife, sister-in-law and brother-in-law dropped into this cozy little restaurant for dinner. It was a culinary surprise. We were immediately greeted by a well mannered server who made every dish on the menu sound amazing. We all had the Soup of the day which was a chicken and vegetable combination - It was great. My wife ordered the spareribs... More

We were going to just go in for a coffee and to sample some of the fresh baking that looked quite yummy (except for the messy container of bread pudding in the showcase) but decided we were hungrier than that. We decided to split the Rueben sandwich with fries. It was alright, but I could have made it better at... More

Great place for tea and scones or lunch or dinner. Mac and chesse to die for. Magnificent meatloaf. Did I mention - yummy cupcakes. Have a chat with Fran (owner)- she's great. I'm a regular - should have written this review ages ago.

Visited for a late lunch on a Sunday. Tea selection was expansive, they did not have a menu listing so I went to the front counter to view after already being seated. Menu seemed to have a good variety of food, chose the chilli with a brie appetizer. My companion selected the corn chowder with a caesar salad. Temperature of... More

A delicious lunch was provided for our adventure afternoon! Yummy corn and potatoe chowder, a hearty chicken club sandwich and of course... a scrumptious cupcake! The bakery itself is quaint and busy during lunches, which is always a good sign!

We arrived on a Saturday afternoon for lunch. It was a busy Saturday, as they were out of the soup of the day and the cottage pie. We shared a chicken avocado sandwich and the homemade Mac-n-cheese. The bread was homemade, the sandwich sumptuous and the Mac-n-cheese piping hot. The prices were good. The only downside was the service was... More
