We visited this restaurant twice and enjoyed excellent Greek food. Typical Greek dishes were cooked differently. The wine recommended by the owner ( house label) was very good. There was excellent music on a Saturday night. The restaurant is on the sea front a few minutes way from the busiest area.Highly recommended . More

Nick - the owner - is on top of things and will make sure everything is excellent. Try the feta w / sesame and honey. Great salads and local cuisine as well. Ask for selected pasta dishes made with fresh produce. More

Excellent Greek food (and that's coming from a Greek Australian) and service. Couldn't of asked for more. Had the grilled sardines, the meat pie, grilled sea bass, and beef ragu pasta. Complimentary watermelon and greek mastiha liquer finished perfect night. The gal waitress was exceptional in hospitality. More

Had the beef fillet, nice and tender. Extremely friendly service, the sauter brought us liqour after dinner, free of charge. We politely declined, and she brought us watermelon with a smile instead. Nice location at the harbour promenade.Best meal so far in Kefalonia. More

We spotted this restaurant as we walked from Lassi into Argostoli along the coast road and it is really worth searching out on the edge of town. They were friendly and helpful. the food was lovely and they catered well to my mainly vegetarian preference and to our two year old. More

Another excellent lunchtime experience at the Ampelaki; sitting in the pleasant restaurant, enjoying a friendly service and good authentic Greek menu. Relaxing and just a short walk from the main shopping area. It looks out across the water towards the 'Nautical Club'. It really is well worth a visit. More
