Had lunch with a group of walking friends and food very good and staff friendly and helpful. The tearoom is set in a beautifful village so we had a double treat. More

My husband had 'Posh fish finger sandwich' which came with a very attractive and colourful salad and hand cooked crisps. I chose ' Oatcake... More

The service was both friendly and quick. Just the spot after a long hike (or before). I would recommend anyone who finds themselves in Ashford in the Water to pop in and give them a try. More

It doesn't matter when you visit this family run establishment, everything remains the same. There is always a warm friendly greeting. Our visit this time saw orders ranging... More

Very welcoming, lovely homemade scones and the added bonus of being able to take our dog into the tea room with us. A very big thank you for that as it is few and far between that dogs are welcomed indoors in this country. More

Did a circular walk from Ashford in the water and after we finished we felt we had earned a cup of tea and maybe a cake. We'd been in Ilam the day before and had a cream tea which was good so we thought we would do the same. As soon as we walked through the door the girls made... More

It was just by chance that we came across both Ashford in the Water and the Aisseford Tea Room and we where not disappointed by either. We only had a sandwich and scone but both were delicious, good quality and well presented served, with an excellant pot of tea (something that should be so simple but is not always easily... More
