  "An attractive cafe and restaurant in village with very few parking places. If you can get or park there well worth visit. Friendly service good teas. We did not use restaurant but sat al fresco and it was dog and smoke free. Cheaper than National Trust too. Nice."

Thankfully the little taverna over the road is a welcome piece of class. I only had a main course, the Kleftiko (Greek style lamb..." dish). The sides to my dish, carrots and potatoes, were a mix of over and undercooked, as was the rice for that matter... I did think it came out remarkably fast. But the lamb, oh that lamb was good. Cooked perfectly with a sprinkle of parsley, full of flavour and so juicy and tender. The waiting staff were very pleasant, the place was full on a Monday night (to be fair it is quite small though) and after a long drive I very much appreciated the cheeky ouzo shot to aid digestion. Couldn't complain, even when given a guest book to leave a comment in.
