"Having loved Bill's in Brighton I was pleased to hear about a new branch in Oxford. Very central but tucked away in St Michael's Street it is both handy and quiet with a surprisingly pleasant outlook. The conversion of this old hall has been achieved providing space that is both intimate and not c..."ramped. We went for a very late lunch and both had the monkfish stew, this was extremely good but rather overpriced. The starter, scallops, well cooked but the salad they came with did not work and lacked seasoning. Brown bread and marmalade ice cream with chocolate sauce was delicious! Sensible wine list well priced and the best pot of tea out for some time. Great sound track and good staff (we had James with very blue eyes), all in very good.

"We found this cafe by accident on a trip to Oxford today and are so glad that we did. We had lentil and chickpea soup - really lovely, spicy and filling served with warm pitta bread. Fabulous food and the cafe itself is has an authentic Moroccan feel to it. Served by friendly and polite staff - d..."on't miss this cafe!

"I really like the Magic Cafe - the food is healthy, filling and excellent value. The atmosphere is very relaxed. I've only been there at lunchtimes, and there have always been loads of Mums and babies in there, but they seem pretty chilled too. Definitely worth a visit - the street on which it si..."ts (Magdalen Road) is pretty interesting too in terms of bookshops etc and the legendary 'Goldfish Bowl'!
