  "Celebrated my birthday recently in this restaurant. The food was delicious and the atmosphere is cosy. The staff were very busy but pleasant. The only negative points were- we felt the bread came a little late, almost at the same time as the starter (they were extremely busy so this was forgivable) ..."and also the chef should consider putting some more vegetables in the tomato based pasta dishes as although they were very tasty after a while got a bit boring. All of the other dishes were fantastic. I have eaten in lots of restaurants in Italy and this lovely little place in Waterford beats them all.   "Best food in our ten day trip"
  "My husbands and I were not "into" crystal so we walked around town while our fellow bus travelers from the US spent time at the Waterford Crystal shop. We got hungry and began looking at window menus. An older gentleman told us "best food in town" when he saw us reading the Munster Bar menu. Boy was..." he right. We got the lunch cafeteria options of chicken cutlets, cabbage, parsnips, chips and mashed potatoes. Best taste, portions, and service we had in ten days in Ireland. Our other meals were good mind you but unimaginative hotel fare. This was the real deal. And the fellow who seemed in charge at the time (owner? Bartender?Manager?) offered to turn the lights on upstairs so we could see the old original bar which entered from the street behind and one floor above where we ate. Amazing woodwork and appointments. Very nice of him and unexpected. We will not forget the meal or hospitality. " More >
