"For the 10th year in a row since the new ownership (autumn 2002) we visited Petit Paris to find that they manage to stay top of the bill as far as local cuisine with the best possible finesse is concerned. Apart from the golden standards such as the Boeuf Limousin and duck liver three ways, there ar..."e Les Idees du Moment selon la Saison et la Marchee with refreshing new seasonal - and sensational - variations every time. Having been among the first to visit the place when the owners started it, we have a special relationship with them, but we certainly do not feel that impairs our ability to be critical. It is important to realise Petit Paris does not wish to have passers-by for drinks only, dislikes shorts and definitely prefers French and that it is usful - and advisable - to make a reservation. We sincerely hope that we can enjoy another decade at this standard. CONGRATULATIONS!

"Have been here several times, nous deux, with grown up son, with visiting friends and have been very happy every time. It gets away from the ubiquitous duck, though there is foie gras any way you like it. Delicate spicings, anise seeds on the petit fours were brilliant. Terrine of ox cheek surrou..."nding foie gras with onion marmalade is exceptional, can't pass on it. Top quality ingredients, unusual combinations - herring, vichyssoise an frites - nothing is too much trouble service - lovely. A tad expensive on the wine list, but, well... just splurge and enjoy it. And easy parking too.

"This is one of the best restaurants in the Périgord Noir area of the Dordogne. While it hasn't earned a Michelin star, it is noted in the red Michelin guide, and represents very good value for quality food. Best of all is sitting on the front terrace for lunch, during nice weather. But inside the re..."staurant, it's cozy and friendly. Chef is quite an artist with food, and his wife is an excellent hostess. The only criticism in the past has been that the menu doesn't offer enough variety, but that is changing. Definitely worth a visit at least once on each trip to the area.
