"I visited the Moghul room in May of 2013. At the time, the tourism industry had not been doing well and many of the hotels were very under-booked. This restaurant is located within the Mena House hotel, where I was staying.
The food was very good. I got a lamb chop masala. The masala sauce wasn't..." the best I'd ever had but the locally-raised lamb chops were excellent and well cooked.
What made it awkward was that there were six staff member to serve five people. This wouldn't have been too bad if they spent most of their time in the kitchen but the six staff members stood around in the restaurant and watched the five people eat. Any time anyone got close to the end of a glass of water, someone would rush over and pour more. If you got close to finishing the food on your plate, one or more of them would rush over and over to serve more. This kind of overly-attentive service was common at the time due to the low tourism but this restaurant was a bit over-the-top.
Overall, great...
