"We ate here on Saturday night - had called and made reservations at the bar and they told me up front that they were short staffed, but still decided to give it a try as this bistro came as a recommendation. We were seated upon arrival and ordered drinks. We were brought some bread slices with an..." herb spread that was delicious. Staff is very friendly and helpful with explanations of daily specials and ingredients (for those with food allergies). My husband had the Creole seafood stew and I had the baked stuffed haddock. Both were very good and plenty of food. We shared a homemade lemon cake for dessert with homemade ice cream to boot. It was divine! My only comment was the wait for the dinner, but I knew up front they were short staffed, so just enjoyed the fun vibe and company of the bistro while we waited. We will definitely be going back - great new find for us.

"We have been to Molise in Wakefield, Ma and it was great. We then heard that the same owner, a lovely woman, opened one up in Amesbury. So we planned our friends reitrement party there for 9 people. The service was impeccable, the food was beyond great. Nothing overpowering, hints of lemon, of garli..."c, etc. By far it was the best Italian I have had and I've had a lot. The roasted butternut squash soup left me with the thought I can never order this anyplace else because it just won't meet the Molise standard. I had the spaghetti, broccoli, chicken in a paramesan sauce, I simply can't describe it. This place went to the top of my Italian list and I think it will stay there for a long time to come.

"Dinner started with plates of cheese and meats that were fantastic as usual followed by a few of Tony's meatballs. These are also not only a favorite of mine but of my eight month old grandaughter. I had the scallops for my appetizer. The sauce that comes with the scallops is excellent and the scall..."ops were cooked perfectly. This was followed by a Caeser salad that had an anchovy dressing that was great. My main meal was the Lombada, a grilled veal chop. This chop is huge so I brought some home and will be enjoying the remainder for lunch this week. The chop was cooked medium rear as asked for and the accompanying vegetables were excellent. I finished up withe the Tiramisu. I have been to Italy many times and many Italian restaurants in this country but no ones Tiramisu can compare to Tony's. We also had some wonderful champagne and a bottle of Speri Amarone that was just fantastic.
