  "we were a team of 5 vegetarians who went to xiamen for a global meet. On the 1st day when we sat down for the team dinner, the most biggest lobster with an even bigger antennae was staring at us with dead eyes. i mean if you can connect your TV, the antennae would pick up all the channels possible. ..."We did a SoS to all our acquaintance and this name came up. Went there and had the best possible veg food under the circumstances. The food was on par with any restaurant in delhi / mum / chen. Good food, like other reviews about john, you cannot miss him with his hat. His bro has a good mp3 collection that was soothing to the ears while the food was working wonders to our stomach. The ambience does not look very modern, but has a old world rustic (old english inn) atmosphere. ate there all the days. john speaks tamil, hindi, chinese, english and is jovial. he was very helpful in offering to arrang a taxi also for us on the last day, for the airport drop including the local sigh seeing.
