"I was pleased to know that there was more than one Denny's location in the Texarkana area. This Denny's is conveniently located just off of Interstate 30 at Exit 7 (Mandeville) in the Flying J Truck Stop. There is also a well stocked adjacent store and gas station at this location for your convenie..."nce.
Since it is a Denny's, you are assured of wonderful menu choices at different prices. In fact, they have a wonderful $2 $4 $6 $8 Value Menu for their customers. Some of their $2 menu choices are Biscuit & Gravy with an egg which was my Southern grandpa's breakfast favorite, Biscuit & Gravy with Hash Browns and a Stack of Potatoes. Some of their $4 menu choices are Build your own Chicken Wraps, Everyday Value Slam, and All You Can Eat Pancakes. Some of their $6 menu items are their Southwest Turkey Sandwich with cup of Soup or their Endless Soup and Salad. Their $8 menu choices consists of Fried Seafood Platter, Grand Slam Slugger, and Spicy Cowboy Chopped Steak.

"We had a wonderful meal for Mother's Day. Everyone was pleased with their choice from the menu - Crab Cakes with Shrimp Alfredo - Shrimp Orleans - and Copeland's Famous Fried Seafood Platter. All the food was excellent. Even thought they were very busy - their service was wonderful. The waiter w..."as very attentative and there was not a long wait on the food. We ordered the Turtle Cheesecake for dessert - it was awesome. This is a new location for Copeland's. Glad they decided to open one in Texarkana.

"Been numerous times now. Last visit early May was up to usual standard of great. Food is amazing especially the catfish and oysters. Go early and sit under the tarp on picnic benches inside the building where cig smoke if not too bad. After the place gets busy after probably 6-7pm it is crazy and th..."e service iffy but the food is always worth it.
I guess overall this is the kind of place you just have to try to see if it fits. Kids not recommended. Some clientele can look rough as in bikers but all have been utmost good mannered. Have always been during the week fairly early.
As to atmosphere, there is a live tree inside, big tree. Our group always has a blast. Don't miss getting the waitress to show you how to make your own cocktail sauce - its an institution there!
