"My first visit to Rutabegorz was back in the 1980s -- when "nouvelle" cuisine was all the rage. That was the beginning of a period in restaurant history when it was all about presentation, and tiny portions on big plates.

"Took wifey here for Mother's day.. One of her favorite restaurants. Service is always spot on. The food is very good with many varieties in the buffet court with many brazilian specialties. The best thing about the place is the meats... They constantly bring new things out on swords & slice off ..."for you at table. Chicken, Lamb, Quail, Aligator, bacon wrapped turkey, Rib Eye, Flank Steak, Tri tip, Shihkabob, Garlic-steak, sausages, Black pepper steak... so many thinks to sample. They keep bringing the meats till your full.. My favorite is at the end of the meal if you ask they will bring out a pineapple that has been done on the rotisery. My daughter's favorit is the fried bannanas with brown sugar & cinemon.

"I was pleasantly surprised when I visited this restaurant on my recent trip to Southern California. Three of my friends ordered the same dish, (Meat Lover's Treat) which was the "special" absolutely loved it. Our meal included soup or salad, entrée and ice cream for under $12 per person. Not only..." was the price reasonable, the food was very tasty (not like some other "Italian" type restaurants, where the sauce is bland and not at all appealing. I highly recommend this place to anyone visiting Southern California.
