"I am a pretty decent cook, so I go to a restaurant for conversation, foods that I don't cook at home, and to be "taken care of". We found that MA filled the bill admirably. The service was attentive but not intrusive. The atmosphere was such that our party of 4 could relax and talk for a good 2 h..."ours, in a very comfortable setting. The parking was easy and reasonable.
I had the $53 fixed price menu because, of course I wanted to try the signature dish, miso sea bass. The fish was done beautifully, with an excellent texture. It was a bit salty for my taste, but since it is a miso dish, that is to be expected. We had a nice bottle of Chardonay (#203) at a reasonable price of $42. My wife had the scallops which were very good. I enjoyed the soufle for dessert.
This is an "adult" restaurant and the prices are not casual. I think it is well worth it.

"Fairly new to Pasadena, so. You have to really look for the place. Sign partly covered by a tree. Food is good and also service is fast. We tested a few dishes, which not a lot for dinner. Good presentation. The meat are all tender. Serving should be a little generous for the price. A little loud so..." not ideal for a romantic dinner. As usual, it's Old Town Pasadena, so parking is an issue.

"Having just had steak over the weekend at The Grill I was not ready to do it again so soon but... we had a winemaker dinner booked for Daou Vineyards, Paso Robles so here we were driving out to Pasadena on a Monday night to Ruth Chris. We knew the wines would be excellent as Daou Vineyards is extrao..."rdinary and makes incredible wines but I am not usually a fan of Ruth Chris. First I must give a big shout out to our server Karla as the service was a TEN! From the perfect martini, the endive salad with cherries and crispy pancetta, the crab cake which arrived sizzling and then the blue cheese crusted filet, I had to undo my pants button to give me extra breathing room. The steak was cooked a perfect medium rare and so tender you really did not need a knife. This was one of those evenings when food, ambiance and service all came together perfectly for the ultimate dining experience. We can't wait to go back.
