"Usual breakfast fare. One strip of counter seats that fit a good dozen patrons. You watch cook on the griddle as you wait. Service is good, breakfast is good. We tried the lunicia? sp and it was quite tasty. Good place for a quick breakfast - we will be going back."
"When you walk into The Newes you feel like you have traveled back in time to when Martha's Vineyard was just a small whaling town. It has an old world charm. The food is better than your average pub fare. Fries and onion rings come in a large paper bag with the rim folded down several times. The win..."gs are ok (could be crispier)' the onion soup is good. The burgers are very good along with most of the menu - really you are not going to be disappointed.
They have 6/7 beers on tap and always a few interesting or local choices. If you can't choose, you can get a sampling of 5 beers for $20 something I think. If you're "on island", definitely make this one of you dinner choices. Oh, no reservations.

"This is a small cafe on one of the side streets in Edgartown. The sandwiches are top notch and the staff is very friendly. They have a covered outdoor eating area with a view of the water. "
