It was fairly quiet in the restaurant even though there were parties seated at the tables around us. We appreciated this as it seems that many restaurants are so loud. "So I was there the day after Mother's Day and what a nice surprise. Flowers when I left. A little bouquet of flowers - daisy, pansy and carnation. I know because it is almost a week later and they are just starting to fade. But enough about the surprise - the best surprise was the good food and ..."price. Asked at "Picture This" - a great little frame and photo shop down the street - about somewhere locally owned with good healthy type food. This was her recommendation and it was a winner.
Lots to choose from - soups, salads, wraps, deli sandwiches, paninis, burgers ... and more. I chose the Round Lake Club - how appropriate the restaurant is just across from Round Lake and just off the Channel. My club came with turkey, American cheese, bacon, lettuce, tomato and mayo. Only $7.50 and it was a bargain. I had half for lunch and that was plenty. The weather was cool so the second half held well for dinner. Came with chips and a pickle - ate those at lunch.
