"I have been going to Mexican Village on Bagley street for over 30 years. Living in Toronto, doesn't make it easy, but every time I'm in the Windsor/Detroit area, I make the trip to Mexican Village.
Their food has been very good and consistent for as long as I can remember and their menu is fille..."d with great Mexican classics. I love the wet burritos!
The service is always welcoming, fast and friendly. I've only had positive experiences even when eating there with large groups. They are very accommodating and extremely helpful.
The decor of the restaurant has always been the same! Another reason why I love it. It reminds me of great times with family and friends and leaves me wanting to go back every time.

"Don't be discouraged finding a parking spot. It's worth the effort. This was our 3rd visit and the quality and quantity are outstanding. The exuberance of the staff is contagious and the speed at which they work is amazing. If not attending a sporting event, check the schedules for the teams and..." go on a day w/no games.. The signature Schwarma is great w/fries wrapped in the sandwich and a very tasteful sauce. The Fatoush Salad is cold and crispy and refreshing and generous and a neat item to share w/2 or 3 others.. Go directly to the counter and order. Get your drinks- there's a bar in the center of the main area- and have a seat. You'll barely have time to settle in when the food arrives!!! Savor!!!

The menu was robust, and so were the prices. BUT, the food lived up to the billing: my dining companion..." and I shared a caprese salad to start, and we both had one of the evening specials, the halibut. This main course was prepared beautifully: the fish was wonderful and a generous portion; the risotto was creamy and delicious; the grilled garlic spinach perfectly crunchy (so many places overdo it, or the spinach is droopy in garlic). We were too full for dessert--but the tray looked scrumptious. The only pitfall was in the beginning==we were greeted by multiple servers-in succession-and they were very confused by my beverage order of sparkling water....it took several takes for them to understand that I did not want a carbonated beverage. But that is a minor glitch. The service overall ...
