We called for last minute reservations, and they were very accommodating on the phone. When we arrived 15 minutes early, they already had a nice table set for us - and I know it was chosen for us, because after we were seated. I heard the owner/manager/dude in charge ask the waitress, "Did you set up the corner table for the (our name) reservation?" It made us feel very welcomed. The decor was really cool - very "old school Italian" (or old school Bavarian?) and really suited the restaurant. The bathrooms looked brand new, and were super clean. The woman serving as host was just a doll. She was so gracious, and I don't think we could have had a better welcome to the Twisted Olive. That kind of graciousness is worth its weight in gold. Our waitress was also great, and had the patience of a saint - a woman at the table next to us must have tried 5 different wines, trying to find something she liked. I was really impressed with how patient the waitress was, especially when the woman said, "This wine tastes like Lake Michigan - gross." Seriously?
