"After having been here two years ago from Malaysia, and loving it, we decided to go back. I guess our expectations were so high, so this time round it was simply great. The first time was WOW! Started off with pre dinner drinks, however the mixers were flat, so missed out on a pre dinner drink. the..."y did great service recovery however. We chose a few starters to share as Anti Pasta. The Octopus is a must! It was WOW. The rest were great. Found some great Frnciacorte? For the starters. Not often found on the wine list! My wives main of chefs lamb sausage was excellent, whilst the rest of us had , as expected, mains washed down with a great Barolo and an even better Chiati Classico. The chees and chocolate boards were also brilliant. Cathy our server was the highlight of the evening though..... Really really good evening all round.

"A friend and I went there for lunch on a cold, rainy weekday. We were seated right away at a table with a lovely view of the sailboats out on the water. Our server was wonderful, knew the menu well, made suggestions when asked for them, but wasn't pushy. When we couldn't decide between two partic..."ular sandwiches we decided to get one of each and share so we could decide which we liked better. So our waiter even arranged to have our plates prepared so that we would each have half of each sandwich. They were delicious! My favorite was the BBQ'd pork sandwich, but my friend liked the chicken on ciabatta best. I think the reason each of us picked different ones as our favorite is because that's the one we ate first, so that was when we were the hungriest! Both were wonderful! We certainly plan on going back again and taking the husbands with us next time.

"I was told that the Boat House is regarded as a big deal "foodie" destination. While is it's very nice I felt its leaning toward pretentious. Its very expensive, especially for the area, the food is good but not that good and really pretty basic. There were no nice surprises. A lot of the menu is ...""Kobe" beef, which is pricey. We were not in a beef mood and had two fish entrees - which were fine but not outstanding, especially for the price. The chocolate soup for desert was just too much chocolate and not enough anything else.
At the same time, the service was excellent, the setting and view were great.
My wife and I had a nice romantic evening there but left feeling a little unfulfilled.
