  "Went to The Lake Elmo in for the special Saturday breakfast buffet. Great selection and value for the price. Fruit, meats, pancakes, pastries, and more. Excellent food if you like breakfast fare."

  "We love Lake Elmo Inn and have been coming here for decades. A recent re-model of the place is nice, but the atmosphere seems to have now lost a little bit of its charm. Booths are a bit more spacious, but they make the main dining room seem small. The food is still excellent, but the prices now ..."seem to reflect the need to pay off the cost of the remodel...everything seems very over-priced compared to the way it used to be just a few short years ago. Our server was very good, but she was definitely over-worked--only she and another server for the entire room...and the room was full! They have a lovely enclosed patio area (which they were not using) and an entirely separate dining room on the other side of the entrance--which was also not used. Meanwhile, the bar area was packed with patrons waiting for tables in the two rooms they had open.
