"Stopped at Jardin de Eden last month for breakfast while staying elsewhere in Troncones. Breakfast was so good and Jean Pascal was so gracious we returned the next night for dinner. That meal was even better so we ended up returning for two more dinners. Everything from omelettes to pizza was exc..."ellent. Fresh seafood was consistently good and the snapper cooked in the wood oven was exceptional. We've already made a reservation to stay at Hacienda Eden in December and look forward to more great meals with Jaun Pascal. Not far from the center of Troncones and well worth the effort given the quality of the food, the pleasant service and the great beach front location.

"With the plethora or beachfront restaurants that Troncones has to offer, it would be easy to miss Chencho's Mini-Restaurante, which sits at the far end of Troncones (although, in Troncones, nothing's really that far) on the inland side of the road. The next few visits were strictly because of the food. The downstairs portion of Cafe Sol is the breakfast spot, with upstair..."s dedicated to their bar and dinner restaurant. The breakfast menu includes a tasty french toast (made from locally baked bread), pancakes, eggs as-you-like them, smoothies (berry and tropical), fresh-squeezed juices, french press coffee and the amazing "Tocho Morocho," Tocho Morocho is an egg scramble that includes onion, tomatoes, zucchini, potatoes and home-made sausage, all bathed in a green salsa. In addition to their food, Cafe Sol has a free lending library consisting of (I'm guessing) a couple of hundred books. It operates on a take-one/leave one system, so when you finish that paperback, drop it off at Cafe Sol and grab something new. The restaurant is located near the little b...
