"We eat from here at least once a week their food is really good for a decent price. Recently we have had to double check our order before we take it home though because the staff tends to forget food items but I'm sure the owner is working on that issue. "
"I visited the Common Man on the edge of Corcord during a business trip. It was really busy, even on Sunday evening, packed full of locals. There was an extremely friendly and accommodating welcome, despite our lack of booking. We sat upstairs in the comfortable bar lounge - comfy leather sofas and c..."hairs - and had a fine ale whilst we waited. The main restaurant was open plan saloon-style, with a very good atmosphere.
The table was ready very quickly, and the starters good (lobster doughnuts) and excellent (shrimps in parma ham). We both had Portsmouth Pie, a tasty seafood dish, accompanied by well-cooked seasonal vegetables. Washed down by a bottle of Malbec, the evenig was a good one, and I'd be happy to return.

"I tried Angelina's (after finding it on Tripadvisor!), and was able to get a table that night. Lucky, because this was a Monday, and you certainly need to book several days ahead for the Friday and Saturday nights. It is a small basement room, with a very traditional look and feel to it, but there's..." nothing old or stale about the service - excellent, humorous, friendly - or the food - simply superb.
We shared a starter after the waiter (Bill) suggested that one starter each would be far too much (and we are big eaters). This was a god idea, and we had excellent, succulent scallops in parma ham. I then had the fish of the day, mahi mahi which was superb, along with fresh vegetables, but not before the salad / soup course, included in the price. The evening was completed by a smooth and delicious Liberty Creek cabernet savignon. All in, it was $108 before the tip - good value for such great fare.
Downside? - the piped music, whilst fairly unobtrusive, was pretty "elevator"!
